We at 2BOT know that owning 3D modeling technology is very expensive in both upfront cost and ongoing materials.  In fact, over time, the use of materials on an annual basis for models than the cost of the typical printers.  The beauty of ModelMaker and subtraction technology is that the materials are no longer cost consideration as a user.  The ModelMaker is the clear alternative.

Take the example of a model of a building.  For easy numbers, let’s say the model of the building is 2” wide by 4” deep and 10” tall.  Citing values from other 3D printers, their price per cubic inch is around $6.00/in³.  For ModelMaker and our approved materials, the price is $0.05/in³.  Doing the math, our building model will cost $4.00.  This makes for fast, inexpensive models to be used in the rapid prototyping cycle.
